Revoltech Edward Elric Review

My first Revoltech figure, yay. Series No. 116 Kaiyodo Revoltech Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, sculpted by Yamaguchi Katsuhisa. Now i finally know what a revoltech joint is, haha. Pretty impressed with it, every time i move the joint there’s a satisfying click sound. It’s sturdy. This is the first highly articulated FMA figure. Yes, this figure is very articulated.

Edward Elric is the main protagonist in Fullmetal Alchemist manga and anime along with his brother Alphonse Elric. I for myself a fan of Fullmetal Alchemist, nice intriguing story and cool art.

Front view. The face looks kinda derpy.

Side view.

Back view.

Side view.

Looks good overall, nice detail. The automail, clothes, trousers, cloak. The cloak sculpted in -blowed by window like- which is very nice.

The box.

It comes with a lot of accessories. Effect parts, stand, 4 different faces, 4 spare hands including 1 for automail, 1 spare arm.

Smiling face, looks good.

It pretty much can pull any pose.

Edward: “who do you call bean sprout?!?”

Closer look on the angry face. Very show accurate.

Edward: “Oryaaa!!!”

Good details.

The ponytail has joint, so you can move it freely.

As well as the cloak.

One thing to note, the knee joint is regular joint, not a revo joint, so it feels loose, very loose in fact. Dunno if its only my copy, but i hope it is.

With its own pros and cons, for a ¥ 2800 figure i think it’s a good deal. If you’re Fullmetal Alchemist fan why not add this figure to your collection?

  1. He looks fine, but I really don’t like what they did to his face, especially the normal face.. But the angry face looks good. =3 Either way, its good to have an articulated Edward Elric figure! :D
